Truco Serves
Food Distribution
More than 25,000 families have received aid from our food distribution; families that are poor and forsaken who would not have a meal unless TruCo provided for them. These include homeless, orphans and disowned family members. In India there are still repercussions from the COVID lockdown. As a result many are still unemployed, have lost homes and rely on TRUCO for regular help.
Tutor Center
Tutor center for the kids and teens: 5,000 children have no opportunities to learn. Homes in the slums overcrowded, parents are gone, trying to work. Kids are neglected. TRUCO feeds and provides a safe place for them to survive and have their basic needs met.
Provisions
9,400 families all over India also receive provisions such as clothing, medicine, and toiletries.
Juvenile Care
TruCo provides for hundreds of Juveniles with food and training while simultaneously creating an environment that fosters character building and integrity. TruCo built bathrooms, showers, and a place to wash their clothes. TruCo teams elevate substandard environments and equip people with basic sanitation and the ability to live with dignity. Before TruCo gave assistance, many lived without ever having underwear, what most consider a basic necessity. Now, many excel with new awareness, they play soccer, and the ones who have come out of jail are committed to staying clean, working and studying, they have a drive to help their community. TruCo gifted these juveniles on holidays with belts, shoes, watches, and hot meals.
Sports Development
Through athletics, we help those from the slums who are dejected, some with addictions to substances and other unhealthy habits. TruCo teaches them sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletic skills. Ultimately, through TruCo, they learn how to work with others, how to care for their body and create a future for themselves in the name of sports.
Widows Support
TruCo helps hundreds of widows monthly. Widows are considered a burden to their families and the community. They are banished in this part of the world. Our streets are filled with neglected elderly. We help provide a stipend for hospital and funeral bills if they have no family. We also assist able bodied widows to find work or begin their own business. We helped a widow in her 30's open a dress shop and she is thriving in this business today! TruCo also assisted a struggling widow and a teacher to start small businesses.
Training leaders
Truco trains and equips thousands of leaders in the following areas of life: Spiritual, psychological, physical, financial, and family relational skills. Truco also aids in helping injustice, abused and broken relationships. Additionally, Truco Counsels children and adults who have endured trauma.
Untouchables (Fox people)
The untouchables are true outcasts, rejected from society and their government, who will not provide any aid to ease their plight. They are banned from the city and live in rural villages where they hunt to survive. Their forefathers lived as gypsies. TruCo built a bathroom: This group came to us requesting help as their women had no privacy to bathe. Neighboring villagers would spy on the women and children as they bathed. They were often threatened. With provision from dear friends, TruCo was able to give them dignity and decency by building proper bathrooms to protect them and their little ones. TruCo is now working to apply for power so they can have electricity. Simultaneously, TruCo teaches the youth skills as they are completely banished from society. Many have a hunger to learn and develop their life. By teaching life skills, many walk away from generational begging, stealing, prostitution and even murder.
